On Dec. 1 with 5,630 votes, Celebration was named America's 2007 Dream Town - a goal that took three years and an ongoing community effort to reach. David Gilmore, who moved to Celebration in 1997 from Fort Myers, Fla., to pursue a position with Disney, nominated Celebration for the 2007 American Dream Town competition this year - its third year competing against 150 towns nationwide.
